HIDDEN AWAY
A touching story of friendship and overcoming that you can not miss
The film is a drama that invites us to reflect on life, identity and the challenges faced by two young people in extreme situations. Directed by Mikel Rueda, this film delves into the emotions and inner conflicts of two 14-year-old boys who, despite their differences, end up unpredictably intertwining their lives.
An exciting plot:
The story begins with Ibrahim, a 14-year-old Moroccan boy, who has just received the news that he will be expelled from Spain in two days. Faced with uncertainty and fear, Ibrahim flees his home with what little he has, walking alone and disoriented along a road on the outskirts of the city. His life in the country is about to change drastically, and he has nowhere to go and no one to count on. A young man whose only way out seems to be to escape.
On the other hand, we meet Rafa, a Spanish boy of the same age who finds himself trapped in the pressure of his fears. In a nightclub, nervous and confused, Rafa enters the washroom to escape the chaos outside. Outside waiting for him is Marta, a girl who has very high expectations of what her relationship with him can be. But Rafa is far from being the young man Marta imagines.
Fate crosses their paths:
The lives of Ibrahim and Rafa, two boys from very different worlds, cross unexpectedly. This union, which seems to by chance, will mark a before and after in their lives. The two will profoundly influence each other, sharing moments of uncertainty, hope and friendship.
A story of friendship and personal growth:
What makes it special is its ability to address universal themes such as immigration, fear of the future and the desire to find a place in the world. Through the eyes of Ibrahim and Rafa, the viewer is immersed in an emotional story that speaks of the importance of empathy, the courage to move forward despite adversity and the transformative power of friendship.
